Lovitch works on his creation all year, using 775 pounds of candy and 682 pounds of gingerbread dough. Lovitch, 39, handcrafted more than 1,000 structures, including a candy factory, coffee shop, carousel and trains. The giant gingerbread man was baked in one piece. The ingredients inlude wheat flour, sugar, vegetable oil, fat, water, sirup, natron, cinnamon, ginger and salt. Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest gingerbread man it weighed 651 kg (1,435 lb 3 oz) and was made by IKEA Furuset (Norway) in Oslo, Norway, on 9 November 2009. The house was 18.28 m (60 ft) long, 12.8 m (42 ft) wide and 18.28 m (10.1 ft) tall at its highest point.
